LEGO Ferrari #30191 Scuderia Ferrari Truck Review

Theme: Ferrari
Name: Scuderia Ferrari Truck
S/N:  #30191
Year: 2012
Pieces: 40
Minifig: -
Price: RM12.90, USD-, GBP-

Polybag
We are not the first to have this Shell promo around here. But the playset is an exclusive set from Shell whereby you are allow to buy a set for a certain amount of petrol you pump. Anyway, without further wasting time, the front of the polybag shows the model, serial number and name and an info whereby it has pull back motors. The back are just word and a Ferrari sticker.

Content
Like most of the polybag set, once you open it, it goes straight to the parts. Inside the polybag are bricks, instruction sheet and a very well protected sticker sheet. A good move to protect the with box to prevent it from being crumpled.

Scuderia Ferrari Truck
This set does not comes with any printed parts and the build do really resemble the Ferrari Truck though is a little plain here in my picture. I do not apply the sticker since I have no idea what am I going to do with the bricks.

IMG_0019 IMG_0020 IMG_0021 IMG_0022

I've tried playing with it and it seems like the back of the truck is too light while the front are heavier, it moves a little slow and always turn to one side when let go rather than straight. Not sure if this is only happening to me or everyone faces the same problem.

Completed model
Fans out there can pretty much made own themselves with the parts they have, especially those that have a lot of part in inventory. The only thing you do not have is probably the pull back motor part. However, to simplified it, it was like a 8x2 plate.
IMG_0023

Playability: 2/10 Pull back motors only.
Building experience: 4/10 Very quick build, can help you on your addiction.
Parts: 4/10 Not much of a rare parts here, more on normal brick.
Value for money: 10/10 If I were to compare to normal racer that are in plastic container, this price is very good here.
Overall: 5/10 Very affordable and fun to build in office. :P

LEGO Ninjago #9555 Mezmo Review

Theme: Ninjago
Name: Mezmo
S/N: #9555
Year: 2012
Pieces: 32
Minifig: 1
Price: RM19.90, USD4.99, GBP3.99
Polybag
Same like Lizaru, this character only appears in the booster pack. There is a transparent window at the  front of the polybag. The front prints shows us a little content of the polybag, like cards and additional spinner add-on. The back of the booster pack advertise some spinners on the top left.
IMG_6335 IMG_6336

Content
The booster pack comes with a packet of parts, a Mezmo's head which is packed separately, cards and two sheet of paper, which one of them explain the way of using the cards.
IMG_6337 IMG_6338 IMG_6339

Accessories
Mezmo comes with a cool golden weapon too.  I just don't like the pick-axe and the chain with the orange fang attached to it. The only weapon that is good here, is the golden weapon only.
IMG_6340

Minifigs
Mezmo's head is printed with cool details on the top. I forget to took a shot from the top, but you can always view it in other website. The torso are printed on both side and have the leg printed too.
IMG_6341 IMG_6342 IMG_6343

Spinner part
Well here's some parts for your use to upgrade your spinner. I think the shield is stronger since it is bricks that were added with slopes.
IMG_6344

Cards
There is a shiny cards that comes in this booster pack and there seems to be a card to upgrade your spinner. The shiny card that came in the booster pack is Upper Hand.
IMG_6345 IMG_6346

Extra pieces
This booster pack comes with a few pieces of extra parts for spares.
IMG_6347

Completed model
This is one good minifig too but the two regular weapon is a little let down, however, it is a different story for the golden weapon that looks cool, just a little bit too long.

LEGO Ninjago #9557 Lizaru Review

S/N: #9557
Year: 2012
Pieces: 25
Minifig: 1
Price: RM19.90, USD4.99, GBP3.99
Polybag
I think this character only appears in the booster pack set and it really no choice but to get the booster pack. There is a transparent window in front of the polybag. Also the front prints shows us a little content of the polybag, like cards and additional spinner add-on. The back of the booster pack advertise some spinners on the top left.

IMG_6352 IMG_6353 IMG_6354

Accessories
Is a very cool golden weapon I must say. Other than the golden weapon we are supply with two regular weapon.
IMG_6355

Minifigs
Lizaru have a unique head, but the paint is a bit off especially the two white paint on the two fangs at the side. The head is printed with the scale details, but in black color. The torso are printed on both side and have the leg printed too.
IMG_6356 IMG_6357 IMG_6358

Spinner part
Well here's some parts for your use to upgrade your spinner. There are shield and parts that help you to lift your spinner higher. That is pretty much depends on the cards on your hand. Otherwise you cannot upgrade your spinner.
IMG_6359

Cards
No shinny card or holo card in this booster pack, is too late when I found out about it and for those that are planning to complete the minifigs collection, this booster pack is a must buy since the price is at the best.
IMG_6360

Extra piece
This booster pack comes with one extra piece.
IMG_6361

Completed model
Kids that are looking for figures can buy this one at RM20. Although this do not boost the creativity of a child nor it has playability since it is a complement goods for the spinners, but Lizaru still have a bit playability itself. Nice head mold but poor prints, overall quality still acceptable.

LEGO Ninjago #9574 Lloyd ZX Review

Theme: Ninjago
Name: Lloyd ZX
S/N: #9574
Year: 2012
Pieces: 23
Minifig: 1
Price: RM34.90, USD9.99, GBP7.49

Cardboard
The cardboard prints are almost the same with NRG Zane just that there are slight different in the prints near the spinner and crown, printed Lloyd ZX cover, and different product been advertise and different pictures of Ninja and spinner at the back. There are parts from China too, nonetheless, this is a rare minifig that only appears in the biggest set and is quite very fast been snapped up from the retail shelf.
IMG_6300 IMG_6301

Content
The set comes with three sheets of paper which one of them comes in multi-language which you can see on the left side of the instruction sheet, spinner, crown, cards and a bag of bricks. No instructions given on how to assemble your spinners and weapon as they are not complicated and can be build by looking at the box art.
IMG_6302

Accessories
We get a brown part which symbolize wooden stick, a katana and a golden dual scythe. The golden weapon is very hard to wield since it is too long.
IMG_6304

Minifig
It was just a ninjain different color and different prints but it is still very cute and very hard to resist it. Lloyd ZX has his leg and both side of his torso printed also comes with shoulder pad. Printed on his back was a snake logo. He have dual expression, share the same head with the young Lloyd.
IMG_6305
IMG_6306 IMG_6307 IMG_6308

Spinner and Crown
Lloyd ZX have a slightly different spinner. The spinner was somewhat gold spinner with the four elements printed on top of it. The translucent dark green crown also have all the four elements printed on it and sadly I attached the crown wrongly and the elements are exactly right on top of the one they are suppose to be.
IMG_6309 IMG_6310

Some additional parts to upgrade the spinner when you use the right cards. For this set, you get green and black parts. Is nice to have the translucent dark green parts.
IMG_6311

Cards
The that comes with Lloyd ZX are different a little in terms of design as you can see on the left of the cards, it was printed with all 4 elements SP. No idea how this game goes, but seems like Lloyd ZX have some upper hand?
IMG_6312 IMG_6313

Completed model
This is one of the most popular spinner set that I can tell. Overnight all four of them been cleaned off from the shelf and I have to seek help from my friend to get it for me. Thinking whether I should duplicate this set or not.
IMG_6315

Playability: 6/10 If you have friend to play with you, then it should have some playability.
Building experience: -/- Learn to make your own minifigs' weapons in future.
Parts: 6/10 Nice prints, nice spinner.
Value for money: 10/10 Superb pricing.
Overall: 7/10 Simply affordable and nice minifig, nice card too.
