Content
There are four bags of bricks that are numbered from one to four and each bag of the bricks assemble different parts of the starfighter. Also the minifigs is separated into two different bags. Comes with the parts are two instruction book and a sticker sheet.
Accessories
Only two lightsaber were included, comes with silver metallic hilt and darker green translucent saber bar. More accurate if were to compare with the the trans-neon green of the previous version.
Minifigs
Saesee Tiin is not a new minifigs, but Even Piell and R3-D5 is something new, Even Piell and Saesee Tiin torso are printed on the both side. Even Piell head piece are somewhat soft plastic with colored printed details.
Saesee Tiin’s Jedi Starfighter
Another starfighter from LEGO, not that bad compare to the previous version and this one looks good too. The downside of this starfighter is that stickers, like most of the other starfighter. Armed with four flick fire missiles, and landing gear and detachable cockpit, we get dark green parts too.
Moving to the front part of the starfighter, you can see there are two flick fire missiles on the both side of the ship, one at the top and one at the bottom. There are also landing gear at the front for you to display the starfighter.
There is also a clip placed under the starfighter to hold the lightsaber. A bit illogical to left the lightsaber outside the ship, but I guess the cockpit are too small and just right enough to fit in Saesee Tiin. So there are no other choice but to put the lightsaber outside the ship.
Like all the starfighter, there is a place for R2 units. For this, the R2 unit can be attach to the R2 socket that is provided. You can swoosh around as you like and this R2 unit will not drop off from the starfighter.
The cockpit windscreen can be open and close, additionally, the design of the cockpit is a bit round and inside the cockpit have a printed monitor slope. There are no small holes around the cockpit that are visible, very well concealed and it makes it look like it is air tight.
The cockpit is detachable and act as an escape pod for escape purpose. However, when the cockpit become the escape pod, it is a bit ugly since the technic parts that keep the cockpit attached to the ship of the fighter are exposed.
ow to end the review, we take a look at the two engines behind the ship.
Two light blue rounded translucent parts were added to signify the
working engine, is the blue light that we usually sees in the republic
fighter.
Finally a shot of the Jedi Starfighter with Saesee Tiin in it. I somewhat like this starfighter although the back looks a bit taller than the other starfighters.
Extra pieces
Here's the leftover, after the assembling process.
Completed model
Is actually a great fighter even without the extra minifigs that is given. Anyway the more minifigs the merrier and I suppose it is to seduce people to purchase this set since there are five starfighter have been released up to date starting from year 2008.
Playability: 6/10 Flick-fire missiles, detachable cockpit and landing gear.
Building experience: 6/10 Nothing new is experienced in building this ship.
Parts: 6/10 Dark green parts is somewhat uncommon.
Value for money: 2/10 Getting more and more expensive here.
