Box
Never got the chance to own one before this and luckily, they reissue it in clone wars version although there are some differences with the previous one. The front of the box usually gives us the details of the set like the name and serial number, and others like minifigs and their name. It got a nice box art while the top side of the box shows us all the minifigs in 1:1 scale and the back of the box shows us the playability of the set and advertisement of other Star Wars set.
Content
The set comes with two instruction books, a sticker sheet, and ten numbered bags of bricks. Each bag number assemble different parts of the tank and it is really helpful in a big set like this.
Accessories
The accessories is just sufficient for every minifigs: three lightsabers, two SE-14 blaster pistol and two E-5 blaster rifle were included. Too bad the new blaster pistol is not release during that time, otherwise Cad Bane can have a proper weapon.
Minifigs
Clearly everyone bought this set is for Aayla Secura which is the new Jedi release only in this set so far. Might meet her again in future in other set perhaps. Anyway her torso are printed on the both side so do the Clone Troopers, while the other are only printed on side.
Below are pictures showing Aayla Secura from front, side and back.
Command Platform
This new design of command platform looks good and the details were printed unlike the one in #7676 Republic Attack Gunship. But I like that one too. You can see there are these green pieces, which helps you attach the platform to the panel in the middle of the tank.
Scout Walker
We do have a giant version of the scout walker back in year 2007 and that version got printed parts to makes it looks nice, however, the scale is quite out. Back to this scout walker, it is small and not that bad looking, you will start to like it once you assemble it. A nice one and the scale is quite right as well.
Blaster Rack
This is something that were kept in a compartment in the tank, it hold the blaster nicely and it nicely fit into that compartment without any problems.
Clone Turbo Tank
I do not really like the wheel of this things as it make it looks ugly, but again you just need to get use to the design. This Clone Turbo Tank still have space for improvement I suppose as the design itself is still quite far away from the actual one. This tank is big in size too.
Is quite hard to tell which is front and which is the read of the tank as both the front and rear of the tank got a cockpit. So I suppose this is the front one or simply label it as cockpit one. The cockpit got two seat (can fit two minifigs) with a monitor in the middle. You can place a Jedi in standing position in the cockpit too. It can still be nicely close after that.
The twin blaster cannon which were place right below the first cockpit can be adjust according to the heights you want. It can simply be move up and down.
The middle compartment is really spacious and to prevent the side panel from falling down when it is too heavy, there is two piece of bricks on top that is adjustable to hold the panel. If you do not attached the scout walker and command platform at the panels I suppose it can fit a few Clone Troopers in it and there is this two safe box for you to keep the ARC accessories.
On the top of the middle compartment there is a flick-fire cannon (it seems like a cannon blaster to me than a missile) and it is 360 degree rotatable. Behind the cannon is the handle for you to carry the tank and also the handle to use to carry the tank by the dropship.
There is a small compartment in between second cockpit and the middle compartment. The small compartment is where you store the blaster rack. Open it and drag the rack out when you need them. It is neatly done.
There is another cannon blaster which is for the use of the gunner on top of the second cockpit. It is rotatable too.
the second cockpit is spacious too although it is slightly smaller than the first one, it still can fit three minifigs inside it (depending which one is standing). All you need to do is open up the panel to review the interior.
Last but not least, the well known features of the Clone Turbo Tank, which is the flexible wheel. There is a suspension supporting the body of the tank in the middle to make sure the tank is in the right position at all time and not leaning to only one side.
Extra pieces
There are a lot of extra parts left after the assembly process. It seems like this set have a lot of small parts that we can lose it easily.
Completed model
If you on the republic side or you miss the one before, you should get one of this for yourself. The tank do have good playability and nice interior especially the cockpit. Overall this machine is great! ^^
