LEGO Star Wars #8036 Separatist Shuttle

Theme: Star Wars
Name : Separatist Shuttle
S/N : #8036
Year : 2009
Pieces : 259
Minifig : 5
Price : RM264.90, SGD76.90, USD29.99, GBP31.99

Box
I like the background of the box art (can't recall what that planet is called) and it shows quite a lot thing at the front. As for the side we got the pictures of minifigs again with the right scale and at the back is the function of the set and bigger picture on the actual model.

Box Box 1 Box 2

Damage box is cheaper though. =)

Content
We got this four packs of bricks that got quite an ample space left in it, a sticker sheet and an instruction book.

Content
Instruction book Stickers

There are around 9 places that needed to be added with extra detail from the dreaded sticker sheet (if I'm not wrong). Viewers can download the instruction for this set HERE.

Accessories
Here's the only things given with this set, which is two short blasters for both the Battle Droid. Pilot got have no blaster, I guess they will be the first victim for the Republic. (^^)

Minifigs
We got Nute Gunray, Onaconda Farr, Droid Pilot and two Battle Droid. Is a good thing we get a Droid Pilot here together with two of the new minifigs. Anyway, I like Nute Gunray headgear , seems unique.

An upclose with the new guy in town. (^^)

Separatist Shuttle
Moving on to the Separatist Shuttle. The process of building this ship is a little bored, no idea why, but I can't find the fun in building it other than reviewing it. Here's the pictures:

There's a few function coming with this ship, and here's the opening cockpit function:

The cockpit has no monitor or anything just some modified plate for the Droid Pilot to hang on it. As for the antennae, there is nothing much to worry about as LEGO made a hole in the middle of the tail of the ship.

Here's the landing gear (which is very fragile):

Is best you display it with the landing gear down so it has better support. The ship have a small base so it will fall sideways sometimes.

Turn the knob at one of the side and open the rear hatch. LEGO do try to add more detail by adding to round translucent piece at both side on top the hatch to add light detail.

Here's a seat (maybe) extracted from that room, and it fit pretty well in it which is very tight.

And here Nute Gunray with a grumpy face, I guess the seat is uncomfortable. (^^)

Extra pieces
Here's the extra bricks that left after the process of building the shuttle.

Completed Model
This is what we actually get from the set. I don't know how to take a good of it, but I think this suits the shuttle well, two Battle Droid guarding Nute Gunray while he is forcing the Senator and the Droid Pilot is standing by.

The exterior of this ship is quite match the one from the cartoon, but this set is lack of interior. You might want to MOD it yourself if you get one of this.

Playability: 6/10 The only real playability here is the rear hatch.
Design : 8/10 The design is quite accurate, just the hole in the middle of the tail.
Price : 4/10 The price here is expensive as usual with a little increment.
Overall: 6/10 Nice minifig and shuttle although low playbility, but a little pricey.
