Box

The box art have a little changes, which is no longer have actual minifigs scale shown on the side while at the back are just words. Just ignore our local distributor sticker.

Content

As expected from a impulse set, we get a pack of bricks and a instruction sheet. On the very left are jester headgear which are packed differently. While the other two pictures are the instruction.

Minifigs

The jester minifig got both side of the torso printed and have two different expression, a happy one and a sad one. See pictures below:

Platform

Guess there is nothing much from the Court Jester impulse. The platform itself is just nothing, maybe useful for display only. Picture are shown below:

Extra pieces

Three extra pieces comes with this impulse set, which also turn out to be the jester accessories.

Completed model

Here's a picture of a completed model and sadly there is no army building impulse for this theme.

Playability: 5/10 This set is for display only.
Design : 6/10 Nothing much about the empty platform.
Price : 6/10 Quite expensive as there is no accessories.
Overall: 6/10 Guess you need only one of this no more no less.

Box

In LEGO world Dastan do compete in the ostrich race, anyway that is what shown in the front of the box. The side are the actual scale of the minifigs with their name stated while the back are shows the function(s) of the set as usual.

Content

We get three pack of bricks, an instruction book and a pack of ostriches. The new ostriches are packed separately.

Accessories

Compare to desert attack, this set has less accessories but we are targeting for the ostriches instead of the accessories in this set.

Animal(s) & Insect(s)

We get two ostrich, a snake and a scorpion. I like and dislike the new ostrich because their head is rotatable and at the same time the head easily get stick to dust.

Minifigs

We have three minifigs from this set which is Ostrich rider, Sheik Amar and Dastan. Ostrich rider and Sheikh Amar got both side of their torso printed.

Sheik Amar and Dastan have double expression whereby both side of their head stud are printed. See picture below:

Weapon Rack

I guess this is an extra to add on in the set, the weapon rack with a few weapons placed on it. Seems like is an extra bonus to reach the piece counts since I didn't see it in the movie.

Platform

So here's the platform without any function. However, this platform is where Sheik look at the race although it is different from the movie.

Ostrich Platform

So here's the platform where the ostrich were placed before the race started. The ostrich can only stand on one stud but not both together.

The functions, which is opening gate is support by droid's arm. Sometimes the gate can't align with the base and we need adjust it. By pulling the beam behind, the gate will open up and the race start. ^^

Extra pieces

About the extra pieces, not much are given. Maybe not much small parts in this set but there sure is a lot of droid's arm.

Completed model

Here's the look of the completed model once every pieces of parts are put together. The ostriches are new which is one of the attraction that made me buy this set.

Playability: 4/10 Open and close gate function only and movable ostrich head.
Design: 7/10 The design is not bad, but the things seems like scatter around.
Price: 4/10 Is pricey here for all licensed theme. ^^
Overall: 5/10 New ostriches are great addition to collection so do the parts.

LEGO Prince of Persia #7569 Desert Attack Review

Box

The playset from Prince of Persia seems to have no connection with the movie and the front shows that Dastan met with Hassassins in the desert while the side use Dastan minifig to compare actual minifig scale. While the back shows some functions.

We got two pack of bricks, an instruction booklet, a horse and a grass.

Accessories

There's quite a number of accessories included in this set and most of them are new pieces which makes this set is good set to get the accessories. Below are the pictures:

Animal(s) & Insect(s)

We get a scorpion, a snake and a horse with printed body with no horse barding. There is a weakness with printed body when you try to turn it into a normal horse.

Minifigs

Here are the picture of the minifigs, which include a skeleton, Prince Dastan and two Hassanssins. The Hassassin got their back of the torso printed but not Dastan.

Dastan have double expression and got both side of his head printed.

Hideout

I have no idea what this thing is call, but I guess is a hideout which keep gem or so. Anyway below are the pictures:

While here are the only function of the set, which is a place to keep the gems. A simple function which open and close, is nothing fancy. Oh well, we can't expect much from a small set with the price we pay.

Extra pieces

After going through the process of putting the bricks together, we do get a few pieces of extras which include the new weapon as well.

Completed model

Is a nice set with a lot of accessories and minifigs plus a horse. Minifig lover definitely buying this, no, most of the people will buy this.

Playability: 4/10 Open and close function only and movable horse head.
Design: 6/10 I would say the new weapon and minifigs are great but not the hideout.
Price: 4/10 Is pricey here for all licensed theme.
Overall: 5/10 Many accessories and nice minifigs.
